We're standing on the edge of Qatar and the land in the distance is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. That's probably as close as I will ever get to Saudi.

I went for a horseback ride through the necropolis of Giza today. This is the pyramid Khafre behind me. My horse's name is Lucky.

So Gail got me totally addicted to Legend of the Seeker. I even signed up for netflix so I could watch it on their instant-watch system, because right now the entire show is up on their site (I know, I didn't have netflix until now, WELCOME TO THE MODERN AGE, DIANA). So as someone who is now invested in the show, I get upset when they do dumb things. Now, I'm only on like episode 13 of season 1, but so far I'm kinda upset about how they are handling the confessor's power.

Also, I really didn't like Zed at first. He's grown on me a lot, but I still just find his appearance so odd! And sometimes his voice sounds like cookie monster. I get the distinct impression that that actor has done voice work for something that I have seen, and it gives me the creeps. Gail kept telling me he was like Walter from Fringe, super odd but totally endearing, if not a little off-putting at first. My response? "WALTER WAS FUCKING WEIRD UNTIL HE SHAVED AND THEN HE WAS FUCKING AWESOME."

Also, Rachael (eraticschematic) and I had an awesome discussion about animagi on twitter this morning - since its twitter start at the bottom and read up.
