Greatest voicemail transcript EVER

Long story short. Last year I asked about a local environmental services company on Biznik.com (http://biznik.com/forums/-indie-biz-qa/topics/lucas-environmental-stormwater-services-inc) that my former office manager had gone to work for.

I was curious to get some feedback on their reputation, services, etc. I had a hare-brained idea to setup a parking lot for portable datacenter containers. I
wanted to know if they had experience with non-permeable zoning, but never managed to get in touch with them.

Time went by, my friend left their company on sour terms, I forgot they existed. Until yesterday, that is. Yesterday, the owner of this company apparently googld her company's name, and found my biznik posting which consisted of:

Lucas Environmental Stormwater Services, Inc.

I'm curious if anybody knows anything about Lucas Environmental
Stormwater Services, Inc.?

Upon seeing this question, she did the (ir)rational thing, and emailed BizNik, hinting at potential legal action. (The content of that email is posted at the end of this posting). I responded to her on BizNik thread with a rather benign observation:

Wow. Apparently asking about Lucas's services on a public forum is
enough to get them to threaten legal action.

Tonight at 10:41 PM (PST) she left a threatening voicemail on the # I keep listed on BizNik. She demanded that I remove the blog from the internet, claiming her right is to force me to ask her for permission to ask people about her companies.

Well, I've never backed down to a bully in my life. My only (entertainingly) rational response was to import the voicemail into iMovie, transcribe it with subtitles, and upload to YouTube.

I have broken no laws. To quote our fearless president, "BRING IT ON.

What the fuck? They're threatening to sue you? For what? Because you wanted to know if anyone you knew had experience with them or their products?

What a bunch of fucking idiots!

Sadly the internet is the great democratizer. It gives everybody the ability to be stupid.

I mean, I must have not understood. Did they really leave you a threatening voicemail over that single question?

Well, they sent an email to biznik over that single question. The threatening voicemail was in response to my second posting on biznik, which was "Wow. Apparently asking about Lucas's services on a public forum is enough to get them to threaten legal action."

I'm sure once they listen to themselves on the voicemail they posted, clarity will prevail, and they will feel stupid.. Or their righteous indignation will be strengthened, and I will get to post a second voicemail?

The background story of how I know the company exists at all actually gets more insiduous. I'm not involved in it at all, but won't go into any details since it's not my place... Suffice it to say, threatening to sue anybody and everybody is this lady's modus operandi. The lawyer apparently isn't a lawyer, but an accountant who is a lawyer in another state, but non-practicing or something to that affect.

Hey Lady, You Want Another Martini?

If the content weren't enough to suggest it - and it is - the style certainly sounds like drunken dialing. As for the "legal argument" ... well, I hardly need to comment on that except to say I'm shocked! Shocked! ... that Consumer Reports hasn't been sued by all of the companies whose products they've planned to review.

dugg. thanks for recording it, that type of crap should be exposed for what it is. i kind of think he/she was drunk, based on how irrational they sounded and the slurring repeating words.

Re: drunk?

I cannot speculate as to the originator's blood alcohol level.

Re: drunk?

I have lengthy experience with this female going back 20 years. I do google her name from time to time, mostly out of curiosity. I also check into the Washington State Courts website, which i urge anyone tempted to do any kind of business with her to do. Simply enter the name search tab. It is all public information. With a bit of pasting savvy it is simple to get the gist of the mutiple entries there. She is a textbook sociopath. It delights me to no end to witness the karma being meted out to her by herself.
